She enjoys investigating how natural conditions, such as weather
and mold growth, “form their own compositions, creating portraits of the subject matter using the subject matter as a medium.”
Many of Betty's paintings explore recurring structural patterns found on micro (soil micro-organisms) and the macro (galactic nebulae) levels.
She is also known to bury some of her canvases as part of her artistic processes and then disinter them to discover serendipities made by co-creating with nature.
