David Eagleman’s book, Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives, is a cerebral journey on what life after death could be. And the afterlife is not just for humans--plays, stores, ancient deities from a variety of cultures, and an assortment of characters and situations populate his forty versions of the afterlife. Highly inventive, strange, and quirky, the book offers you good contemplation fodder of where your own afterlife belief system sits amongst these vignettes. Intrigued?
