The film stars Mike Birbiglia as a comic stalled in his career and who begins sleepwalking into increasingly dangerous incidents.
And even as he becomes engaged to his long-time, loving girlfriend and takes his act to the road, he continues to deny the inner message that calls to be recognized and expressed. Until the danger becomes so large that he stops denying the truth—which has its own ramifications for him, his girlfriend (played by Lauren Ambrose), family, and friends.
